Abstract
Sepia colored real photograph the second court house built in Regina was built on the corner of Hamilton Street and Victoria Avenue in 1894. The Hamilton Street courthouse served the community for 70 years. One of the most famous trials conducted there was that of Tootsie LaFleche and Jacob Dyck, the longest running court case ever tried in the North-West. By 1961, the courthouse was outgrown, filled with tons of documents and law books. The deteriorating condition of the building finally prompted the construction of the city's third courthouse. The building was demolished in 1965 to make way for the 12-storey Avord Tower.
