Abstract
Image of log rotating on a lathe. Photo taken at Canoe, B.C. lumber mill. The mill was owned and operated by Saskatchewan Federate Co-operatives Limited. Arrow pasted onto right edge of photo indicates, "Clamps at each end hold and spin the log." Caption on bottom of photo reads, "A log on the lathe in the process of being shaved into veneer—grain plainly evident. The movable arms hold a second log ready to be placed into the lathe." Written in pencil on back of photo: "Turning 'bolts' into veneer.'
