Abstract
Image of two male lathe operators at lumber mill in Canoe, B.C. Caption reads: "Centre is the cutter which can automatically trim the veneer received from the lathe into the required widths. The veneer comes from the lathe at speeds up to 5 feet per second. The operator can also manually control the cutter to trim out waste portions of the veneer." Small arrow pointing to worker in background: "Lathe operator at a push-button control panel with which he controls all operations at the lathe." Mill was owned and operated by Saskatchewan Federated Co-operatives Limited.
