Abstract
This audio recording discusses the change in numbers of animals and subsequently trappers. This audio recording is in Cree and the English translation is below. "There are way less animals today. You rarely see them out in the open, not like long ago when you could see them standing out in the open muskeg. Around here, there's not very many [animals], but further north from here they still do see them in the open. Also, there are fewer trappers today, not like in the old days. I think that is the reason why there are more wolves today and nobody really controls those predators. Now and then you hear about a caribou being killed by a human being. You hear about the right away. Back then, a trapper would report a caribou right away. Now you don't know what's going on but I think it's still the same. The wolves are still decimating the woodland caribou a lot."
