Dates to the early 2nd century CE during the Hadrianic period and is of the Lancelloti type. It is a Roman copy of a 5th century BCE Greek original by the sculptor Myron. Numerous copies of this sculpture survive, attesting to its popularity in the private contexts of houses in the Roman world.

Abstract
Fragmentary statue of a nude male discobolos. The right hip preserves traces of the heavy prop that supported the right arm. The head is missing, as well as portions of both legs, the left hand, and the right arm.
