"The Myth of Olympic Unity: The Dilemma of Diversity, Olympic Oppression, and the Politics of Difference"

This MA thesis does not address NAIG, but does comment on the neo-imperialist nature of international competitions such as the Olympic Games. These athletic events commonly exclude forms of Indigenous sport and games. NAIG may be perceived as a response to this kind of exclusion and a push-back against western dominance of "sport."
