Sergeant's House - It likely appeared in the late 1890's. Because the house was of log construction, an earlier form of construction, it has been suggested that the house was moved here, not built. The house had two rooms upstairs and 5 downstairs with a screened verandah. The walls were plastered inside and out and the building had a simple saddleback roof. According to Joe Guthrie, in later years the residence was used by two sergeant's plus their families these ing Sergeant F. W. Light and Sergeant Shepard. Concert Hall - was built in 1886. It was also referred to as Drill Hall or Recreation Hall. This building was originally a Barracks building. It became the centre of a variety of social and athletic actives which served to balance the sometimes routine work of the police. It was a large, 102' x 32', framed ballroom, easily converted in a stable.
