Abstract
Letter from E. Wyly Grier, artist of the Royal Canadian Academy of Arts, to Alfred J. Pyke, principal of Saskatoon Collegiate Institute (presently named Nutana Collegiate), agreeing to "paint a full-length portrait of a typical Saskatchewan boy of about 15 years of age." He says taht the head and upper part of the figure will be taken from the photo sent to him of Jack Cairns, J.F. Cairns' son. The price is going to be $500. He says he will begin painting the portrait on April 9th.
