Abstract
Letter from A.W. Cameron, principal of Nutana Collegiate, to A.Y. Jackson, Canadian artist and member of the Group of Seven, saying that he would like to complete the Memorial Art Gallery, but "After that we shall feel free to extend our collection in the way we may consider most desirable." He also enquires about how the West would react to this "new school of art" and talks about some of the other cultural events taking place in Saskatchewan. After reading through what Jackson had sent him, he wanted "to organize a new gallery of Modern Art in our Collegiate." He wants to have one painting from each of the Group of Seven in this collection, as well as a Tom Thomson.
