Abstract
Letter from Alex Y. Jackson, Canadian artist and member of the Group of Seven, to A.W. Cameron, principal of Nutana Collegiate, expressing complete disliking of the Memorial Art Gallery. He calls it "uniformly dull," formed between 1900 and 1907, void of art from "the past seven stirring years in Canadian art." He then goes on to talk about some of the artists that Nutana should have pursued for their art gallery, including Tom Thomson. He then talks about the Group of Seven. He ends the letter by saying: "But to me it seems that as a memorial to men who fought and died you have a collection of pictures with no fight in them."
