Image of Royal North West Mounted Police officer mounted on horse in front of Women's Christian Temperance Union (W.C.T.U.) drinking fountain alongside Bank of Commerce on High Street West, showing dog on left drinking from a trough. Erected in 1907, fountain topped by statue of classical goddess and included small trough for dogs, larger basin for horses, and tap for people complete with tin cup on a chain. View from High Street West. "Photo by Rice" imprinted on lower right-hand edge. Handwritten message on back of postcard: "Dear Will: Anna is holding my hand so I can write to you. I wrote you a letter but nobody here could read it. So I tore it up. Last night when the rest were eating their supper I got up and phoned down to the office for papa. He isn't home and I knew it. Wasn't I bad? The Teddy bear is living yet. But he's lost his voice. Well goodbye. Gracie ["Green" added in blue pen]. Addressed to Mr. W. R. Green, 90 North Hall, University Res., Toronto.
