Pek-O-Ten tea substitute. "Toasted Apple - A Substitute for Tea,""Saves Tea, Saves Sugar," "A Product of Canadian Orchards. Pek-O-Ten is a natural ration control and contains 20 percent natural fruit sugars. Use it straight or mix it with tea. One-third Pek-O-Ten to two-thirds tea makes a delicious drink, or mix in proportion to suit taste. Brew the same way as with tea. Added milk or cream improves Pek-O-Ten's fragrant, rich flavour.
